State-of-the-art sampling system for major Chinese port
An example of ESSA’s expertise is a recent contract for automated sampling and analysis at Qingdao’s modern Huangdao port. This is China’s largest gateway for iron ore imports from Australian, Indian and Brazilian mines. The ESSA® scope of supply includes a jaw crusher, rotary dividers, mills, a drying oven, robot gripper, screen shaker and screen set, all to be integrated into a robotic cell.

Automating the port sampling analysis processes provides numerous benefits such as greater consistency of results, better hazard management, improved quality and traceability, tighter cost control, more flexible capacity and insulation from labour availability and cost fluctuations. This is ESSA’s third such order for automation equipment supplied to Chinese ports.

FLSmidth’s first Service Super Centre
Under its new ownership and name, ESSA will relocate from its present domicile in Perth, Western Australia to new premises near the airport. This is where FLSmidth is building its first Service Super Centre. Over the coming years several more such centres will be set up to assist cement and minerals customers in the regions with critical spare parts and machinery repairs.
