After months of negotiation, FLSmidth's Air Pollution Control team received an order from the Shenzhen Energy Company (SEC), located in China, for technology to reduce the dust emissions from Shajiao-B and Mawan coal-fired power plants.

Dust emission is a problem all over the world, in some countries more than others, and we have outstanding technology to offer.

FLSmidth will be supplying 36 units of the Coromax® technology to upgrade the plants' existing electrostatic precipitators (ESP). The Coromax power supply system increases efficiency and increases particulate capture under difficult operation conditions, such as high resistivity and with very fine particles.

Thomas Schulz, FLSmidth CEO, said, “Dust emission is a problem all over the world, in some countries more than others, and we have outstanding technology to offer.”

As part of its five-year plan, the Chinese government has given top priority to environmental protection, including introducing strict new emissions legislation. This is a breakthrough order for FLSmidth in the Chinese power market.
